01-24-07: Next Tuesday (Jan. 30), at the Lakeview Club, there will be an advanced lecture including a review of a club game played last week between David (Kilowog on KGS) and Victor (vtail). Chien-Wei Chang 5d is a good teacher and loves to have people ask questions, so please come out and take this opportunity to learn some things from one of the best go players in our city!

12-22-06: Happy Holidays from the Lakeview Go Club! We now have a dedicated forum at godiscussions.com, if you have not yet registered to this site, you should check it out, it is the only message board about Go in English that has reached any kind of critical mass, and it is growing everyday. Also, we will be meeting the day after Christmas and the day after New Years like any other Tuesdays. I am aware of the issues the site has with the IE browser, but I have not been able to figure out what the problem is yet, if you know a lot about this stuff, maybe you could help me! The site should look fine (unless you don't like the color orange) on any other browser.

11-22-06: Sometime in January we will be starting a "lecture" series twice a month that may become a long term thing if they are well attended/appreciated. 2 players from Taiwan who are currently going to school here, Dennis Liang 6d & Chien-Wei Chang 5d, will be presenting the lessons. There will be 2 'classes', one for more basic concepts (10k or so and below), and one for more advanced studies. These 2 guys will be doing this for no other reason than their love for spreading the game, so our thanks go out to them. You should take advantage of this great opportunity to learn some things close up from 2 of the best go players in our city! More details when I have them....

10-24-06: HI! It has been a while to be sure, but we are back online! If you happened to send us a message through the site in the last 3 months, it probably got lost in the shuffle, please try again! I am now officially a 25k in website management, so bear with me, but I did manage somehow to update the KGS rank graphs with the new CGoban3 ratings, as well as add some new names, if you feel excluded, let me know your KGS name and I'll add you!
